Minecraft: basics of Artificial Intelligence is the course designed for children from 7 to 12 years old who start their way in programming or have basic knowledge. What is this course briefly about?
Training is provided on a platform created by Microsoft. The course itself was developed according to the methods of Microsoft adapted by CODDY.
The development environment is similar to Scratch ( in terms of complexity too), but with the broadest functionality for learning programming.
During the course 25% of the time is devoted to developing soft skills. In the classroom, it is imperative to work in a team and communicate, as programmers and many other specialists in companies do. Leaders always appear in the team which also develops leadership skills. The course also develops creative skills, time management skills, problem solving, project work skills.
During the course colored technical specifications are issued. After each lesson, the teacher gives homework.
Will not artificial intelligence be complicated for a 7-year-old child?
We study the principles of artificial intelligence, conduct various activities in order to understand what artificial intelligence is and wh ere it is used.
In fact, we build mazes of any complexity and program the agent so that the agent can get out of any maze. In this way we show that there is artificial intelligence in Minecraft.
